as soon as i start running I get a sharp pain in my right abdominal region, when I stop so does the pain. I'm seventeen female I run often and this is new to me. Is this something serious? I have a marathon Saturday..
As the above poster said, side stitches are normally a hydration or a conditioning issue. Since you run often, it's not a conditioning issue. Make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day on the day of the race, and you should be fine.
