I've had a male zebra finch for about 4 months. 2 days ago, I bought two female zebra finches to keep him company. They got along really well at first. Then today, one female pecks the other one a lot. They kind of fight with their beaks. Not anything really violent, but I need to know what to do. It is breeding season, so could they just be fighting for my male bird? I know that my male has chosen the victimized female for his mate, and he often fights with the other female to get her to leave his mate alone. Will they eventually stop fighting, or will they keep on doing this? The victimized female never picks the fights. She just defends herself.
