I had glasses when I was about 10 and I didn't wear them because I was a little turd. I'm 20 now and got prescription glasses because my left eye is worse than my right. I picked them up today and wore them for about 30 min before I got nauseous. I took them off for a bit and put em back on. The nausea and headache returned. I know there's an adjustment period but is the nausea normal?
This is a normal reaction to new glasses. It can take a few weeks for your brain to adjust, this is especially true if there is astigmatism correction in your prescription. I suggest wearing your glasses as much as you can for the next 1-2 weeks and the symptoms do not improve, then go back to your doctor and have the eyeglasses checked to make sure the eyeglasses were made correctly.
I had a similar issue when I started wearing glasses again. I was prescribed glasses when I was about 14 and only wore them a few times then decided I did not want to wear glasses. I was able to function fine because my right eye has close to normal vision and my parents did not force me to wear them. I decided after getting some nasty headaches and blurry vision while driving at night that it was time to start wearing glasses again. I got horrible headaches nausea the first few weeks after getting them, but it eventually passed.
