Repair A Schott Ceran Cooktop
I dropped something on the cooktop's edge and it cracked, leaving a few pieces dislodged and a few splintering cracks through the upper half. We just got it last month so I think there is still warranty but not entirely sure. How do I go about repairing this or replacing it? Would ceramic glue work?
I'm sorry to hear about your cooktop. For safety reasons we recommend that you replace the cracked SCHOTT CERAN® glass-ceramic surface. There are electrical components under the cooking surface that may now be exposed to liquids and moisture. It is also possible for the crack to spread, causing further breakage. We suggest contacting the original appliance manufacturer to find a recommended service company in your area.
