Im trying to change the serpentine belt. I understand the diagram of where the belt goes and i can see the tensioner. Only it looks like a pulley. There isnt any hole where you insert your rachet and breaker bar in so i dont know where to go from there? I tried looking on youtube and nothing shows me. I've done this job before on my mustang a couple years ago so i know how this works. But this stupid car seems so difficult. Thank you.
The tensioner will have a nut, a nut-shaped fitting, or a hex/torx hole to turn the arm that holds the tensioner pulley and release pressure from the belt. You don't need a breaker bar, and you can possibly just push on the pulley with your hand and not use a tool at all.
