So I send a gift to my dear friend that lives in Germany, and 11 days have passed and she has not received it yet. The Post office told me that it would take from 8 to 10 days to get to its destination and I check in their website to see if it arrived or not everyday and it says "Depart USPS Sort Facility" I don't understand what that means, and why is it taking so long to get to her? its really bothering me that she has not gotten her gift that I send her yet. Is it already on its way there to her? can someone please enlighten me!
If you shipped it with usps first class mail international, there is no reason to check the tracking anymore because once the package leaves the US, you will get no more tracking information. Depart usps sort facility means that your package was processed and left a usps sorting facility and is on its way to the destination. Packages also get stuck in customs, sometimes it may take longer to arrive. So, wait a little longer.
