Did you apply to a college yet? Have you filled out the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov? You may be eligible for financial aid to help you apply for college. Being a felon does not necessarily mean you can't get either US government aid for school, or private aid given directly from the college.

There's also info about this on the FAFSA.gov website itself.
You'll see there that the exception is for a drug conviction, but even there, there are things you can do to help with that.
