I have a Samsung straight talk phone. I'm not sure of the exact make of the phone, but a couple of days ago, it stopped letting me make calls. Whenever I try to call somebody the phone will either beep 5 times and say "Disconnected" or will just say "Call Ended". It won't even display a dial tone. When I receive calls, they drop after about 10-20 seconds. I was on the phone with Customer Service for 4 hours yesterday and they were absolutely no help. They told me to wait 24 hours, turning my phone off and on every 2 hours, to no avail. My phone display says that I still have 1 day of service, and I normally have 2 signal bars, which normally allows me to make a call. Customer service had me shut my phone off and on about 10 times, then they tried to have me enter codes into my code entry mode, then they tried to reset my phone twice, which only deleted all my contacts. I'm getting really frustrated.
I really don't want to call customer service again.
Try dialing *224 to update roaming capabilities. If you have a Straight Talk phone that runs on the Verizon towers this might help. Not all Straight Talk phones run on the Verizon network though.
If this does not work then you probably will have to call customer service again. I recommend trying this number: 1-800-876-5753 sometimes it yields better results. Sadly, Straight Talk has horrible customer service. That is why I left them after having problem with my own Straight Talk phone. And why my fiance is planning on leaving them as well.
